In addition to the Czech biathlon team, we also dress teams from other countries. You can also see some of them at the Biathlon World Championships in Nové Město.
Belgium
At the World Cup races, you can see the Belgian national team wearing ATEX clothing. Among the best is Florent Claude - originally a French biathlete who was born in 1991 in Remiremont in the Vosges. Not getting the chance to compete at the highest biathlon level in France, he moved to Belgium and obtained Belgian citizenship in June 2017. In 2018, they competed at the Olympics with Michael Rösch as the first ever Belgian biathletes.
Among the competitors you can see at the World Cup races are Thierry Langer, Cesar Beauvais or Marek Meckels, and biathletes Lotte Lie and Maya Cloetens.
Japan
We also dress the Japanese biathlon team, where you can see Fuyuko Tachizak, who was born in 1989 in Kitaakita, Akita. Her best individual result is 4th in the 2017/18 Holmenkollen Pursuit and her best overall Biathlon World Cup finish is 33rd in 2015/16. She is married to biathlete Mikito Tachizaki.
You can also see other Japanese competitors in SP races - Aoi Sato, Hikaru Fikuda, Mikito Tachizaki, Kiyomasa Ojima and Masaharu Yamamoto.
Lithuania
Our clothes are also worn by the Lithuanian biathlon team. The Lithuanian designer Alexandr Pogrebnojus has been designing overalls for them for several years.
Vytautas Strolia represented Lithuania in cross-country skiing until 2014, and since 2014 he has been engaged in biathlon. His best finish is 4th place from the January 2022 Ruhpolding sprint and his best overall Biathlon World Cup finish is 25th place in the 2021/22 season.
You can also see other Lithuanian competitors in the SP races, including Jakubas Mackine, Tomas Kaukenas, Maksim Fomin, Judita Traubaite, Natalja Kocergina and Lidiia Zhurauskeite.
Slovakia
The Slovak biathlon team also wears ATEX clothing. You can see Damian Cesnek, Tomáš Sklenárik, Zuzana Remeňová, Mária Remeňová or Ema Kapustová at the World Cup races.
At the European Championships in Osrblie, Slovakia, Anastasia Kuzminová returned to racing after 4 years, and we will also see her at the Biathlon World Championships in Nové Město, Moravia. Anastasia began to represent Slovakia after the birth of her son in 2008 in the Russian national team did not allow her an individual method of preparation. Her greatest achievement is 3 gold medals from the Winter Olympics, namely in the sprint at the Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 Olympics and the mass start event at PyeongChang 2018. She also won two silver medals in the pursuit events at the 2010 and 2018 Olympics and a silver in endurance race at the 2018 Olympics. She won a total of 19 races in the World Cup. In addition, she won 3 small crystal globes and in 2019 also the title of world champion.
Mexico
Although you will only see Mexican competitors at selected IBU Cup races, you can't deny their enthusiasm.
How did Mexicans Christopher Gomes and Raul Antonio Figueroa get into biathlon? At a fair in Austria, where they both live, they tried to shoot teddy bears. The man who ran the game remarked that they had a talent for shooting and that they should start a Mexican biathlon team. "We had no idea what a biathlon was," added Christopher Gomez. Although they could not ski at the time, Antonio Figueroa founded a sports federation and a biathlon team, of which he and Christopher were the first members. They watched YouTube videos to learn the technique and were overtaken in practice races by children and the elderly. Undeterred, they continued their training. Although the beginning was very difficult, they are slowly starting to do well.
"Whenever someone in Europe talks about Mexico, things like drugs, cartels and violence come up, so it's a win for us when they say, 'Oh, I know a Mexican team that does biathlon.' If this is the first thing we say about Mexico, it will be a win for us," Antonio Figueroa said.
Raul Figueroa, who finished 127th with a time of 39:32.8 (4), and Christopher Gomes, who was disqualified, competed in the men's sprint for Mexico at the European Championships in Osrblie 2024.
We also dress other teams that you won't see in the highest biathlon competitions yet. However, we believe that in the coming years we will see a whole range of successful athletes wearing ATEX clothing.
In conclusion, we wish the competitors a lot of biathlon luck - especially during the World Championships in Nové Město.
